This 35-hour internationally recognised accredited certification combines two courses that work together seamlessly:
25 Hour Online Breath Coach Training The foundation of the programme. You'll explore over 20 breath techniques drawn from both ancient traditions and modern modalities - learning the physiology and energetics behind each one, when and why to use them, and how to coach others through them effectively. You'll start by experiencing each practice yourself, so that when you teach, you're teaching from genuine understanding.
10 Hour Trauma Aware Facilitation Training This is what sets this training apart from a standard breathwork course. You'll develop a clear, grounded understanding of what trauma is, how it can show up in your clients, and how to hold space in a way that feels safe and supportive - without overstepping your role as a coach or facilitator. You'll also look at how to recognise and support your own nervous system, not just your clients'.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to breathwork. Different clients have different needs, different settings call for different practices, and the best breath technique for one person might not be right for another. Trauma awareness and safe facilitation
The trauma awareness component isn't a bolt-on - it's woven into how we approach the whole training. You'll come away with an essential understanding of:
- What trauma is and how it can manifest in the body and nervous system
- How to create a safe, inclusive environment for your clients and students
- How to recognise when someone might need more specialist support, and how to handle that with care
- How to stay within your scope of practice - so you can show up confidently without overreaching

How It Works
This is a self-paced, self-study course. You start as soon as you sign up and have up to 6 months to complete everything - though the quickest anyone has done it is two weeks, if you want to move through it more intensively.
The course is designed to fit around your life. Lectures and practices are pre-recorded, so you can dip in and out whenever it suits you. There's no waiting for a start date and no pressure to keep up with a group.
To receive your certification, you'll submit two short video demonstrations - one of you coaching a breath practice, one of you explaining the benefits of breathwork, along with a brief quiz. By the time you reach that point, you'll have had plenty of practice and it should feel natural. We guide you through the whole process.
You don't need to wait until you're qualified to start integrating what you've learned. Many students begin using the practices with clients and in their own lives well before they've finished the course.
Meet Your Teachers
Rachel has been teaching yoga and breathwork for over nine years, having trained with some of the world's leading breathwork teachers including Dan Brulé and Stig Severinsen. Early in her career as a Vinyasa and Ashtanga teacher, she began to see how powerfully breath-centred practices could shift her students' physical, mental, and emotional health - and that experience has shaped everything she teaches. She brings deep knowledge, warmth, and a real understanding of what practitioners need to feel confident in their work.
Lucy's relationship with breath began in her teens as a singer, and has developed over the years through yoga, Ayurveda, five element theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and more recently, free-diving techniques. She's watched breathwork become an increasingly essential tool in her work as a coach, particularly as she's seen more clients struggling with stress, anxiety, and disconnection from their bodies. She brings a grounded, multi-disciplinary perspective and a genuine commitment to making these practices accessible.
Together, Lucy and Rachel co-founded The Whole Health Project after recognising that the training they wished they'd had simply didn't exist. Between them they bring over 25 years of experience in the wellness space - and a shared belief that good teacher training should be rigorous, practical, and accessible without costing you years of your life or thousands of pounds.
Certification requirements
To receive your 35-hour accredited certificate, you'll need to:
- Complete a minimum of 35 hours of combined study and practice
- Maintain a twice-daily personal breath practice throughout the course
- Keep a daily reflective journal
- Track your practice and coaching hours
- Submit two short video demonstrations at the end of the course
- Complete a brief quiz
The course can be completed in as little as 2 weeks, or you can take up to 6 months.
